Privacy Policy

Olivv is a family meal-planning service run by Stefania Gauci, an individual based in Malta, who is the controller of the personal information described here. Olivv is not a company. For privacy questions and data requests, email privacy@myolivv.com. If Olivv is later offered to the public or operated through a company, we'll update this page before that happens.

Olivv accounts are for adults aged 18 or over. Olivv isn't offered directly to children. Children don't have accounts, don't sign in and never use Olivv themselves. Where a household includes children, an adult account holder enters and manages that information.

• Your account — your email address and password (handled by our hosting platform's sign-in service), plus sign-in sessions. Used to create your account, let you sign in and reset your password.
• Your household setup — the number of adults and children, adults' first names, children's first names and ages, and your week start. Used to build plans that match your household and to work out portions.
• Food information — allergies, intolerances, dietary preferences, dislikes, foods currently being refused, and your notes. Used to filter out unsuitable meals and choose suitable ones. Allergy and intolerance filtering is applied strictly: where Olivv can't confirm a meal is suitable, it doesn't offer it.
• Nutrition information — the goals and inputs you enter for adults. Used to show estimated nutrition figures. Optional.
• Your routine — your normal week, meal slots, days away or packed, and weekly exceptions. Used to plan around your real week.
• Plans and history — the meal plans, meals and recipes generated for you, the quantities and routine details recorded at the time each plan was made, and swaps you make. Kept so your history stays truthful and usable.
• Shopping, prep and pantry — your shopping lists, ticked items, items you add yourself, prep decisions, and what you tell us you already have at home.
• Picky-eating information — your questions and Liya's replies, the foods recorded as accepted or refused, and the progress steps recorded for a child. Optional feature.
• Information stored in your browser — a key identifying your household setup, an onboarding draft, your sign-in session, and a note of whether the side menu is open. These are needed for the service to work; we don't use advertising or analytics cookies.
• Technical information — our hosting platform records standard server log information when your browser makes a request. We also record measurements of how long planning takes; those contain no names, no account identifiers and no content.

We don't use analytics services, advertising trackers or third-party error-monitoring services, and Olivv doesn't accept file or photo uploads.

Olivv stores the following about a child, entered by the adult account holder: first name, age, an internal reference used only inside Olivv, and any food information you add (allergies, intolerances, dislikes, refusals). If you use the picky-eating helper, it also stores your conversations and the food history and progress recorded for that child.

Children's first names may also appear inside plans you saved in the past. Those saved plans are a record of what was planned at the time and aren't rewritten later.

Information about children is used only to plan suitable food for your household and to support you with feeding. It isn't used for advertising or profiling, and it isn't sold or shared for marketing.

You can remove a child from your household planning at any time, and you can clear that child's chats, food history and progress individually in Profile → Privacy & data. Removing a child from planning stops them being counted in future plans; it doesn't by itself erase every record relating to them. If you want everything relating to one child erased, write to privacy@myolivv.com and we'll do it manually. Deleting your account removes all of it, including saved plans.

Meal planning and the picky-eating helper (Liya) are AI-assisted. AI processing currently runs on Google Gemini models, accessed through the AI service provided by our platform.

• Meal planning sends the information needed to plan: numbers of adults and children, ages, allergies, intolerances, dietary preferences, dislikes and your routine. It doesn't intentionally send household members' names.
• The picky-eating helper sends the child's first name and age, your household's food restrictions, the food history recorded for that child and the recent conversation, so its answers make sense in context.
• Liya's replies are saved in your account so the conversation continues, and you can clear them for an individual child at any time.
• Nutrition figures shown in Olivv are Olivv's own estimates, calculated by us.

AI-generated plans and answers can contain errors or omissions. Please check ingredients, allergens and suitability before cooking or serving. We don't make claims here about how the AI provider retains prompts or whether they're used to train models.

• Our hosting platform — runs the Olivv website and server code and keeps server logs; it receives standard request information.
• Our platform's cloud service — stores your Olivv data and manages sign-in and account emails, including your email address for confirmation and password-reset emails.
• Our platform's AI service (Google Gemini models) — generates plans, swaps and picky-eating answers, receiving the information described above.

Olivv doesn't currently use a payment provider, an analytics provider, an advertising network or a file storage service. Web fonts are served from our own website, so your browser makes no request to a font provider.

While your account is active we keep the information you've given us so we can provide the service, until you delete or reset it yourself, or delete your account. We don't currently run automatic time-based deletion of plan or chat history; if we introduce rolling limits, we'll update this policy first and tell account holders.

Setups started but never linked to an account can exist if someone begins setting up a household and never creates an account. Where we can confirm a setup has no account behind it, we may delete it after 30 days of inactivity.

When you delete your account, we delete your Olivv information from our main application database and then close your sign-in. We can't immediately delete copies held in our platform's infrastructure backups, or its sign-in and email delivery records and server logs; those are kept and removed under our platform's own retention arrangements.

• Change your household, adults, children, food information, nutrition goals and routine in your profile.
• Clear picky-eating chats, reset food history or reset progress for an individual child.
• Delete your account and its data from Profile → Privacy & data. We ask for your password and a typed confirmation first, because it can't be undone.

You have rights over your personal information, including access, correction, erasure, a copy of the information you gave us, and objecting to or restricting some uses.

During closed beta we handle these requests by email. Write to privacy@myolivv.com from the email address on the account. We'll confirm receipt, check that the request comes from the account holder, and respond within the timeframe required by applicable data protection law. We'll never ask you for your password.

You can also complain to your data protection authority. In Malta that's the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (idpc.org.mt).
